Leadership Team

Kathy Amano, Founder and President, is responsible for strategic development, marketing and business communications consulting, creative art direction, and account management. Kathy formed Media Plus Design in 1985 as a full-service communications firm offering a wide range of services including strategic planning, creative consultation, copy writing, graphic design, photo art direction, printing, and production. Beginning with 4 clients, her firm eventually worked for over 200 Members of Congress, creating numerous official, political, and issue campaign pieces. Building on this experience, Kathy expanded Media Plus Design’s client base to include corporations, small businesses, foundations, non-profit organizations, and trade associations. For more than 20 years, Media Plus Design (now Plus Creative Group) has established long-term relationships with a variety of clients while producing a wide range of effective and award-winning products. Kathy is a graduate of the University of California at Davis with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Policy and Communications.

 

Andy Dolan, Vice President and Creative Director, has worked in graphic design since 1984. As a designer and art director, he has won over one hundred industry awards, and his illustration and design work has been featured in numerous publications, including PRINT and Graphis magazines. Andy has been responsible for managing and art directing major projects for such corporate clients as America Online, Coca-Cola, Discovery Communications, Software AG, and Prodigy Internet. He designed, illustrated, and managed IBM’s 1996 summer Olympic graphic program. He has also worked extensively with a number of non-profit and government clients, including the Academy for Educational Development, AARP, Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, Girl Scouts of the USA, the International Partnership for Microbicides, the Points of Light Foundation, Special Olympics International, The U.S. Postal Service, and USDA. His work is in the permanent collection of the Library of Congress. Andy graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising Design and holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Integrated Design from the University of Baltimore.

 

Raymond Hardie, Writer, has sold TV and Radio scripts to the BBC and ABC. He had three novels published, in New York and London, the most recent in 2016. He was the editor of Stanford University’s Centennial magazine, and then senior editor for 6 years. He created a new magazine for the University of California, San Diego, remaining as editor for 10 years. Most recently, he wrote the materials for the launch of UC San Diego’s $2 Billion campaign. He has also conceived and written video scripts and other promotional materials for a range of corporate and educational clients.
